Dragon Pt 4

Here's the finished Dragon, with all the touch ups done. Wasn't sure what to do with the crystal shards at the bottom, since they were a clear purple color and it didn't fit the color scheme, so I just painted them white...kind of lame I know, but short of trying to cast my own (which didn't go very well) I just had to paint them white. Looking back now, I could have done more with the mountain but oh well. There's always more you can do but then you'll never finish.

And here's the prize inside. The blade itself measures around 10 inches, not including the handle. It's pretty dull but still, imagine breaking into someones house and they pull a ten inch knife out of a statue, hah.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure about the white either but over time I like it enough, it's a drastic clash between the too colors. This is the only statue I have, the rest of my projects are plastic scale models. Tanks and such will dominate this blog.

i tried my luck on an aircraft carrier once when i was smaller but never finished it...(same goes for an f-16 and F-117 which i only bought cause the picture looked cool) :D

@zemzero what tanks do you have?

zemzero said...

Oh man, I said too instead of two, what a maroon. I have a lot of tanks: American, German, British and Russian. I have a huge submarine I have yet to start as well as a couple planes. I started a B-17 about...haha, three years ago and haven't touched it since. I plan on getting all the pictures up over time, some more in depth than others.

Great job!

A few years ago I built and painted a model ship, and also an airplane. Didn't look as good as this though!
